Harlow Carr Visit - Class 3

Posted 13/7/2018

On Monday 9th July, Class 3 visited Harlow Carr to explore the gardens and learn more about plant life cycles.

We learned about pollination in our workshop, identifying and collecting parts of flowers we found in the gardens and we even had a go at acting out what it would be like to be a bee in a pollination game!  We really enjoyed looking round the kitchen garden, smelling all the herbs and seeing lots of different varieties of vegetables and fruit. The teaching garden had a pond that was full of interesting pond life so we had a close look at that too - thankfully nobody fell in!
