Parent View - Give Ofsted your view on your child's school

Back to school on Tuesday 5th September

Head Teacher's Welcome

May I offer you a warm welcome to our school. Spofforth CE Primary School is a happy school, where the education and the pastoral care of our children are at the forefront of our daily routine.

Our ethos is simple. We provide a high quality of education and care for all of our children that helps them begin to reach their potential and prepares them for the next stages in their education and for their future lives. We develop an enthusiasm for learning through fun and engaging experiences which include everyone.

We want to work with you, as parents, in helping our children enrich their lives academically, spiritually and socially. Spofforth serves children from the school year in which they are five years old, up to age eleven.

The school has a pupil roll of approximately a hundred and fourteen children, organised currently into four classes. We also offer nursery provision for children aged three and up.

As a Church school, we have close links with a number of local churches, especially All Saints Church in the village. We reflect Christian values in the everyday life of the school.

We are very proud of our school and warmly welcome anyone wishing to visit us. Anyone wishing to arrange a visit can do so by contacting the school office.

Best wishes

Mr Paul Griffiths - Headteacher

From September 2014 we are delighted to be collaborating more formally with Folifoot CE Primary School. We will collaborate in a number of ways including the sharing of Head teacher time between the two schools.
